Sunday 28th January 201810:00Sung Mass: Traditional Rite
You are welcome to Sung Mass. On the last Sunday in January every year we use a traditional rite to honour the feast-tide of St Charles I, King and martyr. Though politically and militarily St Charles was somewhat flawed; his personal life was holy, and he may have kept his head (possibly even the throne in some form or another) if he had not defended the right of the English Church to have the Book of Common Prayer (later to become the 1662 edition) and the right to have Bishops. We welcome the Baptised (Christened) of all traditions to receive holy communion: and if you belong to another Faith (or have no faith) you are welcome to join us as an observer, with no obligation.
17:15Prayer & Anointing before the Blessed Sacrament
Prayer & Anointing before the Blessed Sacrament. We spend a short time in silent prayer, then a chance to pray aloud for anyone or situation, if you wish. Then, if you wish (but no obligation) you may come forward for anointing on your own behalf, or on behalf of someone else you are praying for.
